I have a friend that is building a 284 Winchester and I have been telling him about the advantages of doing an OCW. Does anyone have any data on an OCW that was done for their 284 Win.? Anything I could pass on to him would be greatly appreciated.

I wish I could help... but I don't have any data for that cartridge.

It should be a great long range cartridge, though, what with all the excellent 7mm bullets available.

I think if we'd had the 7mm bullets a few years ago that we have now, the 6.5/284 might never have gotten off the ground... just a theory. Surprised
